I purchased this Horsehair Polish Applicator to apply lincoln wax to my collection of work boots as well as dress shoes. It is difficult to find shoe polishing accessories these days in the local brick and mortar stores and came to Amazon for assistance.

First, the brush that is shipped is not quite like the one that appears in the image. The image, at the time I ordered this brush, displayed the stiffer black bristles. The bristles that came on the brush that was shipped were brown and very soft. I had issues applying the wax as the wax caused the bristles to bend easily to the side deforming them. Also, I had issues of bristles coming out of the brush in the wax.

If you are applying a small amount of wax, this brush will suit you fine. If you are doing some serious polishing then this brush will not be up to the challenge.
