First off, I will say that this bag is luxurious. The leather is soft and smells amazing. The lining inside is high quality soft cloth. I love the look of the distressed leather and this is something I find in very few lines. I will most certainly consider Kooba again in the future.

I bought this bag because I need something that will last several seasons without feeling dated. I also love the outside storage pockets on both the front and back. There are certain things I need to have quick access to and most bags now come without any outside storage. This was a big selling point for me.

There are a couple of things you do need to take note though.

1. The tan color is not as light as it appears in the picture. It is not a chocolate brown, but it is not as neutral as I had hoped. I am still keeping the bag, but I was hoping for a color much like my old childhood baseball gloves when I first bought them. This is definitely darker than that. When I hear tan, I think the perfect neutral that can be carried with either black or brown. This one leans well into the brown side which is why I knocked it a star
2. The bag is a bit heavy. I credit that to the quality and thickness of the leather. If you are looking for a lightweight bag, this is not it. I am not docking the bag for that though because I think the leather is good quality that will stand the test of time and that's why it is so heavy. But I want to make people aware of it.

In summary this is a quality bag that is not so trendy that it will be out of fashion in 3 months. When I shop designer, I want a timeless piece that I can keep using season after season. I believe I have that with this purse If you want a more polished leather, this is not the bag for you. But if you like the distressed vintage leather, you will love this bag. Kooba does vintage leather better than any other designer and I'm a fan despite the minor disappointment in the color of the bag.
