I have had this bag for a couple weeks now and am reasonably well pleased with it. It is on the larger size and I am not a fan of large bags but it is not so very large as to look huge.

I purchased the grey but while it isn't really grey it isn't hard to understand the problem of color description. I would say it is closer to light bronze or maybe pewter but it has a tendency to change colors in different light and can even appear to be somewhat lavender at times. In my opinion this is a plus but it might not be so for everyone.

If you are a pocket/compartment person like I am, this is pretty dang close to perfect. It has a large snap close pocket on the front and zipper pocket on the back, two open large compartments one on either side of the main/center compartment that closes with magnetic snaps and a large center zippered compartment that has two larger than normal zipper pockets inside of it, one on the back wall and one in the center separating the main compartment into two parts one of which is larger than the other. On the front interior wall are two small slip compartments suitable for cell phones or other small items.

In my mind the "pleated" side structure doesn't quite fit with the rather industrial looking channels for the carry handles which have a kind of western braided look. One might describe it as being eclectic in style as it seems to have incorporated several different styles including the "slouched" look of the hobo bag with the more structured look of a satchel. The pleated side features that add roominess to the interior are of a
soft non rigid material and tend to allow the sides to droop or slouch and detract from the more structured front that is pictured in the example. The bag looks like that when hanging or carried but when you sit it down it just kind of "puddles" and "slouches". The style overall is more casual in appearance but fits well with day time and casual chic wear.

I disagree with the ad description of "elegant" though. It is simply too large, too casual and to lacking in structure to be described as "elegant". That said I wasn't looking for elegant so I am still pleased.

The bag's only real faults in my mind is 1)the magnetic closure devices used on the large open compartments and the front pocket. The snaps are weak and tend to pull apart when the bag is set down letting the bag fall open. 2)lack of a ring to attach keys to so you don't have to fish for them in one of the compartments.
