Melie Bianco Edith Structured Top Handle,Olive,one size Review

The Melie Bianco Edith Structured Top Handle Bag is a nice looking piece. I loved it is in fake leather, and it looks great and feels wonderful. I have loved the look of this style of bag from the Coach bags in the 1980's. I also thought that having a bag which looked like a briefcase could go everywhere, dressed up or down.

I wish I would have looked a the other site for this bag before purchasing this. Here are some details to consider:
8.5" wide, 6" high, 2.5" deep, High quality faux leather
Top zip closure, Champagne colored lining with brown polkadots
Interior cell phone + slip pocket
Single carrying handle
Detachable chain shoulder strap 50"

I measured mine which is
9.5 inches wide, 7 inches tall, 1.5 inches at the top to 2.25 inches of room at the bottom width. The top handle has a 2 inch drop. The shoulder strap is chain with a weave of the fabric which looks great but not nice for everyday wear for me. I will save it for a dressier occasion as the metal rubs.

More personal stuff, I think the lock on the front is sometimes difficult to open, and having a fold over and a zipper a bit redundant, and if the lock is not attached, the mechanization does not have to be locked but just attached, for the bag not to gape open spilling items if one is not careful. And the pockets will not hold a pen, it interferes with the zipper. I actually do not close the zipper and just have to remember to lock the top.

Just like any bag, adjustments are sometimes clunky, and I was looking for a smaller bag, so this is OK.
