This is the first Ellington handbag I've purchased. It's absolutely lovely - the leather is soft, supple with excellent craftsmanship. I had looked everywhere in my city to find just the right color bag to carry with cognac colored boots, but none of the available colors were even near to what I wanted. I did find a Michael Kors bag for $400.00 that was a close color (but definitely not worth $400 at least to me). However, it didn't even come close to matching the beauty of this bag - at a more affordable price. The bag has a diagonal zipper closing that I really do like after using it. There are enough pockets inside to stash all your necessary stuff, plus room for more. Roomy but not too big and heavy, even when loaded! One reviewer said she thought the metal rings looked cheap. I disagree. For the color, shade and texture of the leather, plus the black handles which are quite classy, the burnished pewter color is perfect, and they are definitely sturdy. Shiny silver or gold would not have done it justice. You will not regret purchasing this bag if you're looking for style, luxurious color and leather, and roomy without needing a slave to carry it for you! It's a work of art!
